Nassali Mugwanya, MD

Dr. Nassali Mugwanya is a board-certified pediatrician with seven years of experience caring for children and families. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where she also completed her pediatric residency.

Dr. Mugwanya takes a collaborative and comprehensive approach to pediatric care. She believes in building strong relationships with children and their families, working together to support each child's health, growth, and development. She values getting to know her patients and creating a welcoming environment where families feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns.

Dr. Mugwanya's path to pediatrics began with two interests she developed early in life: a love for children and a curiosity about science. She originally dreamed of becoming a kindergarten teacher but discovered that medicine offered an opportunity to combine both passions. Pediatrics became the perfect fit, allowing her to work closely with children while applying her interest in science to help them stay healthy.

One of the things Dr. Mugwanya enjoys most about pediatrics is building lasting relationships with patients and their families. She especially loves supporting parents during their baby's first year, helping them navigate new experiences and grow more confident in their parenting skills.

Dr. Mugwanya is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. During her residency, she received the Humanism in Medicine Award from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Residency Class of 2019, recognizing her compassionate approach to patient care.
